Support After Suicide

The purpose of our privacy policy is to inform you of the kind of information we may gather about you when you visit our site and when you agree to join our mailing list. The policy also explains how we may use that information, whether we disclose it to anyone, and the choices you have regarding our use of and your ability to correct this information.

If we decide to change our privacy policy at anytime, we will post those changes here.

Please be aware that this policy applies only to the Support After Suicide website and online community produced by Jesuit Social Services and not to other companies’ or organisations’ websites to which our website is linked.

What information do we collect and store?

Support After Suicide collects two types of information. The first type of information is anonymous information.

When you visit our websites, our Internet service provider makes a record of your visit and logs the following information for statistical purposes – the user’s server address, the user’s top-level domain name (eg: .com, .gov, .au etc.), the date and time of visit to the site, the pages accessed and documents downloaded, the previous site visited and the type of browser used. No attempt will be made to identify you or your browsing activity from this data except in the unlikely event of an investigation, where a law enforcement agency may produce a warrant to inspect our ISP’s logs.

The second type of information we collect is personal information. This may include, with your consent, your name, email address, telephone number or postal address.

The only personal information retained by Jesuit Social Services is that which you have directly provided to us, for example when you register with the online community or when you add information to your online community profile. How much of your personal information that you choose to disclose to us is completely up to you.

How do we use the information we collect from you?

Support After Suicide will only use the anonymous information we gather in the aggregate. Support After Suicide may publish or provide this aggregate data to other people.

Any personal information you submit or send us electronically will be stored in our database and may be used by us to inform you of our services. We will not share this information with any organisation or person outside Jesuit Social Services unless you have authorised us to do so.

Under no circumstances will we sell or receive payment for licensing or disclosing your personal information.
