In the south east of Melbourne we provide what is known as postvention coordination. This means we work with local organisations to respond after the suicide of a young person; this is to reduce the possibility of others also taking their own lives.

There are two ‘protocols’ as part of this initiative: one in southern Melbourne in the Greater Dandenong, Casey and Cardinia Local Government areas. The second covers Frankston and the Mornington Peninsula.
