Serious Fun
Our January Serious Fun session will be focused on the Nourishing Your Mind and Body.
Bri will be running a yoga and mindfulness session, followed by artwork and games. For lunch, we’ll be making our own healthy rice paper rolls.
Intended for primary school aged children who have lost a loved one to suicide, Serious Fun runs in each of the school holidays. Members of the Support After Suicide counselling team and trained volunteers facilitate these sessions. There is usually a theme relating to loss and grief followed by time to play and have fun together. Children find this to be an enjoyable time of sharing and connecting with others who have lost someone important to suicide.
