OAYA Connecting Music and Emotions Workshop
This workshop is for young adults aged 18 – 25 years of age.
Have you used music as a way of supporting you in your grief?
Are you interested to hear about how music can play an important role in your grief experience and help you tap into your emotions?
Musician Glenn McDonald developed his Connecting Music and Emotions workshop, drawing on his interest in anthropology and the way music has been used in grieving rituals, as well as his experience of losing his mum to suicide. Join us as Glenn explains how music can be used in bereavement and as a link to our loved one. We’ll talk about songs that have influenced your grief and provide practical ways in which music can be used to evoke different emotions.
The workshop goes for approximately 2.5 hours. It is held in person with a small number of participants. Tea, coffee, and light refreshments will be provided.
