Men’s Program

The Support After Suicide Men’s Program is an opportunity for bereaved men to meet other men who have lost a loved one to suicide. Each month there is a guest speaker who shares their own thoughts and experiences that provide points for discussion during the evening.

It’s useful to talk to the group organiser prior to attending for the first time.  To contact us, please call on 1800 943 415 or you can email us at aftersuicide@jss.org.au

Please note, Support After Suicide’s events are open to residents of Victoria.

Our guest speaker for our July Men’s Program is Mark Kluwer.

At 51, after attending a Wim Hof retreat, Mark Kluwer made a life-changing decision. He stepped away from his successful building company of over 30 years and redirected his focus toward something deeply personal: human potential.

Now a certified breath coach, ice bath instructor, and facilitator of transformational experiences, Mark has worked with thousands of people across Australia—from individuals seeking clarity and purpose to high-performing teams looking to reconnect and reset. He was among the first in Australia and New Zealand to train directly with Wim Hof and continues to study advanced breath and performance methods through Oxygen Advantage.

Mark will be talking about break work, and how it can be a useful tool.

Now based in Hepburn Springs, Mark is developing a purpose-built retreat space on 70 acres of native bushland, designed to host immersive programs that support wellness, leadership and meaningful personal development.

Currently Mark is working with corporate groups and the North Melbourne football club with their coaching staff and leadership players.

His message to teams and leaders: “When we slow down, reconnect with ourselves, and get comfortable with discomfort, that’s when the real transformation begins.”
