SUMMARY:Bereaved Parents Support Group
DESCRIPTION:The experience of suicide is complex and difficult for most people. We are aware that losing your child to suicide can create particular issues. \nSupport After Suicide holds a monthly discussion evening for parents bereaved by suicide. It is an opportunity to meet and connect with other parents\, share experiences\, listen to guest speakers who are bereaved parents and gain some understanding and support. It’s free and facilitated by a bereavement counsellor and peer support volunteer. \nThe Parents Group runs an in person group in Richmond and an online group\, both at the same time each month. This means that you can attend either in person or via Zoom. If you are attending for the first time\, would like some further information or would like the Zoom link emailed to you\, please contact Support After Suicide by calling us on 1800 943 415 or via email at aftersuicide@jss.org.au \nPlease note\, Support After Suicide’s events are open to residents of Victoria.
